The aviation activities are directly related to atmospheric factors and there are many benefits that the meteorological information can generate for the sector. SOMAR, knowing this importance, has developed a complete system services for aviation. Therefore, our company has created a homepage, where we provide data, maps and illustrations with explanatory text aimed at the needs of each client.
Our goal is adapt our products according the needs of each client, from developing new products or changing display formats of current products.
In addition to these services, SOMAR offers VISMET, Visualization System for Weather Information, which integrates data and products in a single system, enabling easy access, manipulation and visualization of these products.
The VISMET works independently in hardware, by downloading the products, decoding and storing all information. Other products may be added to the VISMET database, enabling the creation of a complete system of forecasting and weather monitoring. The VISMET is a product that can be used in an Operations Center for Weather Forecasting.
